Livingstone Range School Division is committed to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit student success, reconciliation in education, and supporting foundational knowledge of indigenous peoples, cultures, and histories within all schools and classrooms for the benefit of all students.
Land Acknowledgement
Livingstone Range School Division is located on the traditional land and territory of the Niitsitapi (Kainai, Piikani and Siksika: ‘The Blackfoot People’) within the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
Wisdom and Guidance Council
The purpose of the Wisdom and Guidance Council is to support, enhance, and increase school success for the First Nation learner in Livingstone Range School Division. The Wisdom and Guidance will represent First Nations interests in the design, implementation, and assessment of programs, supports and services that improve the school experience and academic success of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students in LRSD.
Formerly known as the First Nations Education Council, the Wisdom and Guidance Council engages local elders, parents and students from Kainai and Piikani nations to meet with Livingstone Range School Division personnel and board members to collaborate on issues and concerns related to student success.
