In order to provide the least expensive means for families to provide textbooks to their children, the School Board has adopted the following rental fee schedule for textbooks:
A fee of $60 for grades 7-9 and $80 for high school, with $10 being returned if all textbooks come back undamaged at the end of the year. Arrangements include:
-
Payment of invoice in full by cheque or cash
-
A note from the parents/guardians explaining a mutually acceptable arrangment for the payment of fees.
-
A deposit of at least $20, with arrangements for payment of balance.
-
A copy of a letter to Division Office asking for a waiver of fees.
Students must have their Library card or know their four digit Student ID number, in order to sign out textbooks.
Students must legibly write their name inside the front cover of each textbook they check out.
Students can only sign out one copy of a textbook.
Parents will be billed for lost or damaged textbooks.
Students will not be allowed to check out textbooks for a new semester until they clear up any unpaid charges from the previous semester.
All textbook exchanges between semesters should be done prior to the first day of classes in semester II.
