In order to minimize school suspensions and to have students make up time missed for unexcused absences or inappropriate behavior, WCCHS has a Friday afternoon or Saturday School option for students.  Students who are given a Friday or Saturday School are usually given a choice of two dates. If a student fails to attend an assigned Friday or Saturday School or if he/she misbehaves while attending, he/she will be given an in-school suspension or out-of-school suspension ranging from one to three days.  WCCHS will endeavor to give the student a reminder slip one or two days before the Friday or Saturday School is served.

It is the responsibility of the student who is assigned a Friday or Saturday School to make arrangements with parents and employers to ensure attendance.  Students will attend Friday afternoon School from 1:30-4:30 or Saturday School from 8:00 a.m. sharp to 11:00 a.m.  The student must also be prepared to work diligently and quietly during this time.
