Graphing calculators are required for both Applied and Pure Math in grades 10-12.  The use of these calculators in other courses such as science is encouraged.  A student must clear all memories, both programmable and parametric, prior to any test. The following list of calculators is approved for use in Alberta High Schools:  Casio CFX-9850GA Plus, Sharp EI9600C and Texas Instruments TI 83 Plus is strongly recommended.  A basic scientific calculator is required for grade 9, Math 14, 24 and Science 14, 24.
