A child who does not like to read is a child who has not found the right book.

This is our philosophy.  All children could be turned on to reading if they had the opportunity to read a book within their reading level & something they are interested in. We make sure that happens.  Our library is the hub of the school.  We are open throughout the day for students to find new books and share their thoughts on what they are reading.  We have a comfortable welcoming atmosphere.  We have 8697 fiction titles, 4602 non-fiction titles, 704 textbooks and 1649 teacher reference titles.  We host books fairs, literacy events, author visits, contests, scavenger hunts and many other activities.  We are always open to new ideas.  We read, share, laugh, talk and encourage our minds to wander to the other side of the world; we fantasize about being a princess in a castle, an extreme athlete, a deep-sea diver, or a witch making a brew; and much much more.  We make reading fun.
