Supporting Positive Behaviour Resources
This three-part resource provides information, strategies, stories from schools and sample tools for systematically teaching, supporting and reinforcing positive behaviour. This integrated system of school-wide, classroom management, and individual student support is designed to provide school staff with effective strategies to improve behavioural outcomes in their school.
BOATS (Behaviour, Observation, Assessment and Teaching Strategies) is a resource funded by the Special Education Council of The Alberta Teachers' Association with support from Alberta Education. This practical resource is designed to help teachers effectively deal with behaviour challenges of students in today's classrooms. Teachers, teams, consultants and administrators can use BOATS to gather sufficient information to determine the function of a student's misbehaviour and use that information to develop effective behaviour support
Behaviour Support Via Learning Support Teams - School based learning support teams provide guidance and support for students, staff and parents to ensure that student social, emotional and behavioural needs are met.
